I never get sick of hearing stories like this! My husband and I just paid off our $97,000 debt last month. It was all school loans. Debt freedom feels so good!!!

Itās great for you to share this story!! Iām in full support of getting married young, but often young people arenāt prepared for whatās ahead. We werenāt either (thatās been 18 years ago now!) but honestly, it taught us so many more lessons than if we had started out with good jobs and easy life. I wanted to hug you when you talked about that smoky apartment. Our first apartment was so bad, when we visited family, I would open up our suitcase and all our clothes smelled like cigarette smoke- all form the smoking neighbors! (The walls were so thin!)⦠but it made our next apartment seem like a dream come true! It made us so thankful for little things. We didnāt have enough those first few years to go get Starbucks unless someone gave us a gift card. That experience has made it a joy for us to be able to give to others now that weāre much further down the road. Thanks for sharing your story!

Similar story to yours! Except I found out I was pregnant a month into marriage š despite struggling with 5 years of secondary infertility with our subsequent children! Lol oh the irony!
ETA: guess I should have got a few more minutes in before I commented! š

Im sad it cost you $13,000 to have a baby. Shouldn't that be free. Well done for getting on top.

My husband and I got married right before I finished my master's degree. Well, like you, I got pregnant shortly after getting married and finished my degree super pregnant. It has been a struggle but I know that plight all too well.

versatile credit patchup are so real like the feed backs and recommendations because they fulfilled all the promises about deleting derogatory marks and negative items in my reports and helped me in keeping 824 FINANCIAL ASSESSMENT, I found about them on google after a lot of recommendations on youtube here few weeks ago. I am really happy about the move

Thank you, Abby, for making this video! Listening to you literally made my cry this morning. I know what you were feeling. My husband is finishing up a PhD ( full-ride) but I am about to go to Grad School and when Iām finished Iāll have 65,000 on my own (including my undergrad). I hope we can pay it off in the next 5 years. Youāre budget videos have helped me so much and I just wanted to thank you. You really are helping people.

My husband and I were credit card debt free (just a car and his school left), but then we bought a house in January that had more issues than we expected , and we are working on getting our budget back in order and the credit cards back down.

Why didnāt you guys go on assistance?
June 23rd, 2021 at 10:58 pm
I have a question, when you were going to go back to work, how did you afford daycare? My daughter is 3 months old and I had a really good job before but I left to care for her full time because it seemed like I was going to be working just to pay for daycare part time! And if you don't mind me asking, how did you afford your car and insurance?

I completely understand I married really young and was never raised to go without, it was a real struggle.

I love hearing that you were able to pay off all your debt with just your average teacher salary! Iām also a teacher and my husband and I are about done paying off $130K in student loan debt! š
